Another two cents re Mr. Dahl's self-introduction:

I worked for 13 years as principal in a consulting firm that
served museums.

We CONSTANTLY confronted the question of whether
our work was appropriate for its setting, fulfilled the mission
of our clients, and upheld rather than demeaned the methods and
principles of our disciplines. We worried these matters far
more thoroughly than many of our colleagues on museum payrolls.
Not that our colleagues were unconcerned, but they had
reassurance from institutional cossetting. We had to prove
it every day.

Some of you aging boomers out there might recall one of
Bob Dylan's lines, from "Absolutely Sweet Marie":
"When you live outside the law you must be honest."

So welcome Mr. Dahl.
