about bridges, bridge building, old photos, etc. is Invention and Technology
Magazine, published (or at least the sole advertiser) by General Motors.
Over the years, they have had many fine articles about bridges.  Finding them
and then contacting the authors would undoubtedly give you a great deal of
information.
