In response to Aaron's inquiry whether anyone is studying the
evolving communications paradigms related to the Internet,
I can point to one folklorist who is watching the
developments.  Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett of NYU is observing,
studying, and speaking.  Can't tell you whether she's written
anything on the topic yet.
