A colleague needs to find a source of standardized terminology
for decorative patterns, motifs and ornaments used on bookcovers
and bindings. Examples of the items which he would like to
identify would be meandering geometric patterns, leaf patterns,
trefoils, lozenges, leaves within lozenges, finials and so forth.

If you know of such a source, I would appreciate receiving that
information by my direct email address rather than the listserv.

I will post a single listing of any sources sent to me.

Many thanks.
