OPENING OF THE SCIENCE MUSEUM DOCUMENTATION CENTRE
 
The Science Museum, London, announces the opening of its new Documentation
Centre by its Director, Sir Neil Cossons.
 
The Centre houses the documentation of the Museum's collections of over
200,000 objects in Science, Technology and Medicine acquired over the
140 years since the 1850s. The information relating to the objects
includes acquisition context, significance and use. The correspondents
range from Charles Babbage to Max Perutz.
