The Heard Museum in Phoenix, a museum devoted to Indians of the Southwest, has
a good library. However, it has restricted access to members only, and museum
staff. I personally feel that this is a hardship on the many students here at
Arizona State University who would love to have access to some of the many
treasures there (non-circulating of course).
The Arizona Historical Society (a state run society) has a marvelous
library down in Tucson. The only fees they charge are for photocopying, and du
plication of photographs. It is a very busy library.
