Just thought I'd let you know that I'm an Epicurian (like
Lucretius).

Be that as it may, I'm interested in the idea of "Roadside
Museums" and wonder if there are some other favorites out there.

I remember one outside of Spokane, Washington (where I grew up)
in, I think, a town called Clayton (they made bricks there).
It had the life's work of a man (I don't remember his name) who
painted sort of surrealistic cowboy art and was run by his sister
as a sort of shrine. As I recall the paintings were pretty interesting,
at least to my eighteen-year-old art student mind, and the presentation
was good.

Does anyone know if there is a book documenting these places, or
should I be writing a grant proposal? The West is full of them.
