Just a gentle reminder for some on the list -
if you want to make a personal response or convey
information relevant only to an individual, please
send private email, don't "reply" to the list. A
reply to the list may reach that one person you
wanted, but it also created garbage in dozens
(hundreds?) of other mailboxes.
Before the flame-throwers are ignited, let me
point out that this list seems to get several
of these misuses every day so I don't think a little
bandwidth to correct that is unreasonable.
If you've tried to reach someone directly and had
problems, fine, use the list (but mention that)
and most of us won't mind.
