 A New NEDCC Story:
"Hello, Dream Job!" A Conversation with Outreach Conservator Tahe Zalal

Tahe Zalal ordinarily travels across the country to provide free Outreach Consultations, the Center's unique service designed to help staff at collections-holding institutions care for their collections.  Tahe has visited institutions large and small to give free on-the-spot advice on collections conservation and preservation. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, she has been doing outreach from home by providing guidance through emails, phone calls, and web conferencing.  She is eager to get back on the road, but until then, Tahe is advising staff at museums, archives, libraries, historical societies, municipal clerks' offices, and other organizations.  

We sat down for a chat with Tahe about her work both before and during the COVID-19 shutdowns to learn about her interest in the conservation field, her most recent virtual Outreach Consultations with museums and archives staff, and her favorite parts of the job.
