Michelle,
Many years ago we crowd sourced through local newspapers, as well as
social media. While today using social media and website is easier,
we wrote a press release for the local newspaper, which they ran
asking for help. Many of the older generation still read the paper
and aren't as active on social media. We were able to get older
artifacts from the request through the paper and newer ones from the
request on social media. We were searching for local scouts (boy and
girl) artifacts. We were able to create a great exhibit and
collection from that crowd sourcing.

Sincerely,

Christa McCay, M.H.P.
