Kim Du Boise is the Senior Conservator & Consultant in her private
practice firm, PhotoArts Imaging Professionals, LLC, specializing in the
conservation and treatment of photographic materials, film and
audio-visual media. Her specialties are the care & preservation of
materials and processes developed during the mid-19th C. to mid-20th C.,
including those on paper, metal, glass and film-based supports. She
provides assessments, consultations, and treatment for museums,
archives, libraries, corporate and individual collections across the U.S.
Kim has presented lectures and workshops on the identification and care
of photographic and audio-visual materials for large & small museums,
archives/registrars, and genealogy groups.
She will be leading 4 courses on the Care, Identification, and Storage
of Photographic, Audio-Visual Media & Movie Films beginning with ID &
Care of Photographs on Paper beginning July 10.
