The Balboa Art Conservation Center (BACC), an active regional conservation center located in San Diego, CA, is offering a one-year post graduate Mellon Fellowship in the conservation of paintings. Fellows will work with a wide variety of collection types performing conservation services in examination, treatment, analysis, and on-site surveys.
Applicants should be recent graduates of recognized conservation training programs. The stipend is based upon a salary of $33,000 plus benefits, four weeks of research leave, and a $1,500 travel allowance in support of approved study projects. The fellowship is scheduled to begin in September 2016. Interested applicants should apply in writing with a resume, three letters of recommendation, and three examples of treatment experience.
