The board of my historic house museum wants to start using the house for fundraising parties/dinners. The museum is an 18th C house with relatively small rooms and has a number of rare 18th & 19th C pieces of furniture. It also has several rooms (kitchen) of 1940's era furnishings. The house is furnished with period rooms and has all original furniture. 

Staff is very hesitant about this and we are interested in getting feedback from others who have been through it before.
