We have an early 1900s brick building that is deteriorating at a fairly rapid pace. We spoke with our State Preservation Office and they came out and did an assessment on the building. It was concluded that the bricks used to construct the building were under-fired and therefore more susceptible to moisture, which is causing them to is crumble. It was suggested to do a consolidation treatment, but a test run of the product did not yield the results we were hoping for.  I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if they found a good solution to the problem.  Thanks for any help!
