Job Description

The Ducks Unlimited Waterfowling Heritage Center (WHC) is seeking a part-time candidate for the Ducks Unlimited Associate position. This position is a part of a team that works together to provide the best possible experience to museum visitors.  An ideal candidate is someone with exceptional service skills, ability to think on their feet, energetic teaching style, and positively portray Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the continent’s leader in waterfowl and wetlands conservation.

Primary Duties

•	Provide an exceptional experience to all visitors who visit the WHC 
•	Greeting groups visiting WHC
•	Assist in opening and closing the museum
•	Present the museum positively and ensure the galleries are clean and presentable
•	Provide guided tours of the WHC
•	Assist with educational programs and events
•	Ability to stand for long hours

Desired Qualities

•	Lively and outgoing personality
•	Works well in an unpredictable environment, where last minute changes may be necessary
•	Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn
•	Experience working with children of all ages
•	Ability to master tours and educational programs
•	Speaking in front of large groups of people
•	A background in science and/or history education preferred
•	An interest/knowledge in waterfowl/waterfowl hunting
•	A member of Ducks Unlimited with knowledge of the organization

Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
