It's been a while but I decided to thank again those who commented on and off-List. I read the comments over carefully, thought about conversations I had with Tlingit friends and colleagues when I lived in Haines Alaska, and discussed the issue extensively with the museum's curator/archaeologist. I decided to not allow investigations at Lost City Museum. The building was constructed on one of the excavation sites. There were houses and burials here. The policy that will probably be fleshed out a little as I complete the policies for use of the museum is: In order to maintain respect for those who lived and died on this site and for their descendants, paranormal investigations will not be allowed.
