The Ohio History Connection (formerly the Ohio Historical Society) in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Collections Management Coordinator in its Museum & Library Services Division.
This position works with the curatorial staff to inventory, describe, photograph and move objects that represent the history of Ohio and its people.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinates the packing, shipping and tracking of Ohio History Connection’s objects.
• Assists with collections warehouse facility reorganization efforts.
• Works with Facilities Divisional staff in maintaining and reporting building maintenance standards.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in museum studies, American history, art history or related field is required, as is a minimum of one year’s experience of object handling in a museum setting. Requires a valid Ohio driver license and ability to operate a truck and/or forklift.
