The Ohio History Connection (formerly the Ohio Historical Society) in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Assistant Curator in its Museum & Library Services Division.

This position works with the curatorial staff to inventory, describe, photograph and move objects that represent the history of Ohio and its people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•	Inventories objects in storage and on exhibit.
•	Researches provenance and significance of museum objects.
•	Creates or revises catalog records for museum objects following established procedures.
•	Photographs objects using a digital camera. Edits and manages the digital images.
•	Identifies collections for possible deaccession.
•	Participates in exhibit planning, object retrieval, packing, moving, exhibit installation, de-installation and returning objects to storage.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in history, library science, museum studies, public history, historical administration or a related field plus one year’s experience working with museum collections.
