Hi All,
Our staff would like to launder the dust covers at our historic house museum in a high efficiency washer. However, since the dust covers come into direct contact with the artifacts, we hesitate to use the high efficiency detergents that are recommended for the machine. On the other hand, we don’t want to compromise the efficiency of the washer by using regular detergents or Orvus.
Has anyone come across a high efficiency laundry detergent that’s also safe to use on items that will come into contact with artifacts? Has anyone had success using another product, such as Orvus, in a high efficiency washing machine?
Thanks for the help,
-Katherine
