The Metropolitan Museum of Art is rolling out an art Hot 100 of sorts - 
website videos starring 100 of the New York City museum's curators, each of

**  U.S. museum unwrapping mummy's story with CT scan
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond partnered this week with a 
medical imaging center to complete a CT scan on Tjeby (CHEH-bee), its 
4,000-year-old mummy, in hopes of piecing together more information about 
the mummy itself and better understanding the early history of the 
mummification process

**  Vandalized California Petroglyphs Recovered
The glyphs, which depict fauna like deer, rattlesnakes and bighorn sheep, as 
well as geometric shapes, are not particularly valuable on the black market, 
so it was unclear why someone went to such trouble to steal them

**  Mastodons, Snowmass items to be featured in Denver museum
Next month, when "Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age" opens, the 
public will be able to see that painting and remains of actual ice-age 
megafauna unearthed two winters ago from the lake near Snowmass

Days before the second world war broke out in 1939, two German scholars 
packed up a cache of mammoth-ivory fragments they had unearthed in a cave in 
the south-west of the country

A shimmering collection of Renaissance and Baroque gold and silver objects, 
collected during a lifetime in the silver trade by a friend of the museum 
who started out working part-time in his father's shop more than 60 years 
ago, has been bequeathed to the Ashmolean in Oxford
