True. But a counterpoint is that crowdfunding funds *anyone*. The
NEA/NEH only funds non-profits and to date, museums and other large
arts orgs haven't really taken advantage of crowdfunding. When I hear
complaints that "there's no money" then I point people to the Veronica
Mars movie which raised $2 million or the Tesla museum which raised
over a million. If people are supporting a
