Hello All!
I am volunteering at a local historical museum and am assisting with the implementation of an exhibit about early 19th century medicinal treatments. We have a large collection of apothecary bottles accessioned and would like to utilize them in the exhibit but many still retain their original liquids. As the museum staff does not want to keep the liquids in the bottles, I wanted to ask your opinion as to whether the liquids should be disposed of or not. If so, what would be the proper disposal methods? Additionally, are there materials which would be potentially hazardous that should not be emptied?
