I am working with my local historical society to develop a touch screen kiosk. Their goal is to give visitors an interactive where visitors can select oral history videos to watch (and eventually provide guests with a tool to view digitized documents and other video/audio).

As far as setting up a touch screen kiosk--are there any recommendations for:

How-To Books or Resources?
Software used to create the touch-screen 'buttons' and user interface?
Touch screen monitors?
Computer/operating systems?

Thanks for any help. I've had very little success finding any resources that deal with establishing this type of exhibit.
