The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is currently seeking counselors for its summer camp, Anthropologists in the Making. The eight-week day camp (June 21–August 13, 2010) for children ages 7 to 13 will focus on a different topic each week, such as “Sail the High Seas” and “It’s a Celebration.” Positions are seasonal and contractual. Counselors report to the Summer Camp Director.  

Position Responsibilities: 
•	Lead and/or assist small and large groups of campers in a multitude of activities such as gallery tours, art projects,  games, scavenger hunts, and performances
•	Foster a fun and positive learning environment by facilitating friendships and teamwork among campers and acting as a mentor

Position Qualifications:
•	Enthusiasm and experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
•	Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
•	Competence in teaching, counseling, and administrative work
•	Patience, creativity, enthusiasm, initiative, and flexibility a must
•	College degree with background in education, anthropology, archaeology, history or art preferred
•	Must be available to work June 14–August 13, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week 
(June 14–18 is an orientation week with reduced hours)
