The Colorado Springs Museum is a general history museum that was first organized in 1896. It has been a municipal museum since 1937. Economic conditions may force a significant change in governance and financial support for the institution. The Museum has received a grant to fund a sustainable business planning process. The scope of this project will include a review of 

1) Existing operational structure, financial conditions, exhibits programs and collections
2) Review of existing organizational structure, financial condition, programs, exhibits and collections
3) Recommendations for proposed governance, management and organizational structure
4) Costs, margins, operating complexity and resources required
5) Operating policies including hours of operation, attendance projections and other earned income
6) Facilities plan inclusive of maintenance and security needs, staffind needs and other expense projections
7) Implementation Plan including organizational chart and feasibility analysis.
