I LOVE it!! How fun and a great way to get people interested in your
museum and the exhibit.

As for the nay-sayers about disrespecting the dead - lighten up!! I
know, not very professional of me but come on, as an educator, we use
this type of interpretation all the time, esp. with children. For
example, I've seen historic houses use one of the former residents as
a "tour guide". "Hi, I'm so and so. I lived in this house over 200
years ago. Let me show you around. etc. etc."

Furthermore, actors portray long dead people all the time. Are they
being disrespectful? How is that any different from giving a mummy a
Facebook page?

It's cute. It's a clever marketing tool and I'm learning a little bit
as well. Beats the heck out of the run of the mill Facebook updates
such as, "I M SO BORD AT WERK!" and "Bob just created an
industrial-military entertainment complex in Farmville!!"

Oh I was highly amused by the comment about deleting Pharaoh's
Facebook pages. Would they also have to erase the back-up tapes to
make it effective? ;)
