Hello, Last summer I did an internship at the National Model Aviation Museum in Muncie, IN. I put together a binder for an internship handbook during my time there and I basically used articles from the museum's magazines. The museum had quarterly magazines in which each contained intern articles. So what I did was take each article from those magazines and added a section with my experience so far. Then I explained what I have learned and what I wish I had known before starting and offered some advice to future interns.

Hope this helps.

Daniel Tracy

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Internship Handbook sample

Hello,

Apologies for the cross-posting.

Our museum is looking to develop an internship program handbook for all new interns. I am interested to receive any suggestions or perhaps a sample handbook from those who have developed internship contracts and/or handbooks for museums.

Thanks!
