If she is not already a member of the Costume Society of America she may want to consider joining. The opportunities for networking and making contacts with people working in all aspects of the field are wonderful. Going to meetings, reading the newsletters, checking out the "job opportunities" section of the website are all great ways to make connections that can lead to other things. www.costumesocietyamerica.com

I have been a member since 1984 and a board member since 2007 - it is a great organization

Subject: Sponsor a Museum 2009

Hello - looking for the wisdom of crowds here on behalf of my little sister.

She has a degree in costume studies and is looking for an internship, preferably in Europe, in costumes, textiles and museums. She has a handful of years experience working and volunteering in the field but would like to take that to the next level and get some real world experience with a museum or a costume design company.

Any advice would be helpful!

Thanks
David Alexander
