I've recently been told about Museum Putty but have not tried it yet.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Museum Wax - friend or foe?

Greetings all - I've started a new collections care project for a local historical society and spent an afternoon cleaning the office and preparing for the inventory fun to come. I found a brand new container of Museum Wax. What's the current take on this microcrystalline wax? Is it ok to use? A horrendous thing I should pitch out ASAP?

Thanks for your current thoughts!

Sincerely,

VivianLea Stevens
