Being layed off is never pleasant - I know, I've been there in the course of
my career, although currently (touch wood) I am fortunate enough to be in
fulltime employment.

Like Gayle who posted recently on this subject, I too would like to offer
assistance for those who would like to meet online, share common
experiences, offer practical advice and re-assurance.

To this end I have added a new group to the Global Museum Social Network
called "Layoff Survivors".
The direct link is http://globalmuseum.ning.com/group/lay_off_survivors

I hope that it will provide an alternative meeting space for those facing
the realities of being layed off. I will add online tools that will be of
value as I come across them.

With best wishes and good luck to all concerned. Believe me life does get
better and opportunities will emerge!

Roger
