The Canadian War Museum holds museum collections, archives and library
collections in the same building as its exhibitions.

The archival collections (image, textual, cartographic and sound) are
held in the Research Centre with the library collections (books,
periodicals, multimedia etc). I am including a link to our research
centre:

itary-history-research-centre

The museum's main web page is here: http://www.warmuseum.ca/cwm/home

So for it seems to work for us (archives). We follow the same procedures
for acquisitions as the rest of the museum's collections, which is
different from the library. And being under one roof (or for the public
behind one door) has made our research centre a "one-stop shopping"
place for military research as researchers can access the library
collections and our archival collections all in the same place. Plus our
cataloguing is in the same database system as the library, see
http://www.warmuseum.ca/cwm/index_e.aspx?DetailId=20548

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
