Another thought. If the location is inaccessible by forklift you might
check into borrowing an automotive engine hoist ( of appropriate
rating) to lift and lower onto a pallet. I wouldn't move it too far on
the hoist as most have solid casters designed for smooth surfaces.

I have not moved a cannon tube using this method and simply offer it
as a suggestion once you know the weight of the tube.
