Interesting and helpful, but personally I would recommend this free software
for Museums to use RSS Builder for this purpose, and host the code on their
own servers rather than someone else's.

Go to http://home.hetnet.nl/mr_2/43/bsoft/rssbuilder/ for the free download.

A quick look around sites like sourceforge reveal a number of projects of
interest for the more IT literate.
For example - http://sourceforge.net/projects/podadmin/,
http://sourceforge.net/projects/podcastgen/ etc.

If you are prepared to pay out $US49.95 then Propaganda is an excellent tool
( see http://www.makepropaganda.com/products.html ) and is my preferred
option. I have used this in the past and found it excellent.

best wishes
Roger

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Free Podcast Maker, Widgets, and Social Sites

> Hi,
>
> We created a free automatic RSS podcast maker called FeedMe! V.03
> specifically designed for museums and educational institutions at
> http://texas.museumpods.com Previously it was in beta testing but now we

> You just fill in the blanks and upload MP3 audio, MPEG4 video, WMV, and
> PDF files and the RSS feed will automatically be generated.
