Smoke screens or dry ice - when considering allowing either of these
things, don't forget to look at your smoke/fire detection systems.

We have a relatively new museum building (now just 4 years old) and a
200 seat theatre that gets rented out to all sorts. Shortly after we
opened someone thought they would use dry ice during their event in the
theatre which resulted in the fire alarms going off! (our system also
apparently detects higher levels of humidity). No damage - just some
very red faces!
