Hello all,
This message really only applies to people in the
Fayetteville, NC area - sorry to plague the rest of
you! The NC Museums Council is having their Annual
Conference in Fayetteville, NC from March 4-7 of this
year. The director of my museum is the Arts Section
chair and still has eight $100 scholarships available.
That's enough for 1/2 of the full conference, or just
one day if that is all you want/need.
General info about the conference is here (sorry if
the link isn't working, you might have to cut and
paste):
http://www.ncmuseums.org/ncmc/conference/2008/index.html
Info about the scholarship is here:
http://www.ncmuseums.org/ncmc/conference/2008/scholarships08.html
I would recommend sending the scholarships
applications to me at this email [log in to unmask]
- you'll get a faster response than if you send them
to the [log in to unmask] address.
The registration form is here:
http://www.ncmuseums.org/ncmc/conference/2008/EdRegistrationform.pdf
Please note that the conference and scholarships are
open to everyone in the meuseum/education fields - you
don't have to be a traditional museum employee to
benefit. Students, docents, volunteers- everyone can
take away valuable information.
We'll be informing applicants about the scholarship
award decision almost immediately- so you can wait to
register for the conference until after you hear from
us.
Good Luck to everyone, and have a great weekend!
Best,
Nikol Wuest
Hickory Museum of Art
