IMLS Extends Conservation Project Support Program Deadline to October
12, 2007

Washington, DC-The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)
announced today that the deadline for applications for Conservation
Project Support grants has been extended to October 12, 2007. Because
some interested applicants reported problems with the Grants.gov online
application process, which was required for the first time this year,
IMLS is extending the deadline and accepting applications by e-mail.
This decision was made in keeping with the Institute's commitment to
providing opportunities for grant support to all museums.

During this period, applicants will not be able to apply through
Grants.gov. Applications should be submitted via email to
[log in to unmask] Only electronically submitted applications will
be accepted, and all application components must be in PDF format.
Applicants should use their museum's name as the subject line of their
submission e-mail. Detailed instructions can be found at
http://www.imls.gov/applicants/grantsgov/cps08_ext.shtm.

Those needing assistance should contact Christine Henry at 202-653-4674
or [log in to unmask]; or Robert Trio at 202-653-4689 or [log in to unmask]
Please note that Monday, October 8 is a federal holiday, and IMLS
offices will be closed.
