At my former place of work we once moved a staff member's car into a gallery while it was emptied between exhibitions, and decorated it.  We didn't tell her--just let her discover it after another staff member casually mentioned how much he liked the "new installation". She was horrified...this was particularly sweet because the victim was herself well known for pulling pranks on everyone else.

Yes, we un-decorated it and moved it back into her parking space for her.
