Jessica,
You should contact your local chapter of the Association of Fundraising
Professionals. They are the "go-to" guys for these kind of issues and
probably have published materials or upcoming seminars on planned giving
on tap. Their website is www.afp.org.
Hope this helps!

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Planned Giving ... Looking for any information on
protocol and how to handle the IRS
Hello,
My museums development department has just started planned giving and
we are looking for any advice or good articles we can research on
legal ways of handling planned giving or any type of advice that any
one may have in regards to planned giving of monetary value. I was
wondering if it would be handled in a similar manner as if a piece of
art were to promised to a person upon death.
I look forward to receiving any piece of advice or information any one
can offer
Have a great day
