I've always followed the "it's my stuff, so we're using my agreement" rule. 
That way my institution is protected by the laws of our state should a dispute 
arise and I am in control of how we cover our collection. 

The best place to start is with the book "The New Museum Registration 
Methods" by Buck and Gillmore and available at the AAM bookstore <www.aam-
us.org>
