Summer Camp Counselors
The National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. seeks energetic, creative
individuals to serve as camp counselors for full-day summer camp for children
age eight to eleven, July 9 – August 3, 2007. This temporary, full-time position
will work directly with children leading camp activities both on-site and on
local field trips. Paid mandatory training will occur between June 25-29. Camp
work hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 5:30 PM, end times
rotating. Candidates should be extremely reliable; able to commit to camp
duration; possess a bachelor’s degree or currently be working towards one;
have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; and experience in a camp
or museum education setting. Successful applicants will complete a criminal
background check, First Aid and CPR training provided by the NBM prior to
