The Museum of Underwater Archaeology is pleased to announce the latest addition to our “In The Field” section. The International Institute of Maritime Research has joined with the First Colony Foundation to search for evidence of the Raleigh Colony which disappeared in the late sixteenth-century. Dr. Gordon Watts is directing underwater investigations and examining data generated by magnetic and acoustic remote sensing. In other news… the East Carolina University Fall Field School project journal continues with features on post field work. Video of the site clean up is now online under the Week 4 link. To view the video visit the project journal site. The link to Week 4 is located in the left navigation margin.

The MUA is looking for individuals wishing to participate in our mission of encouraging underwater archaeologists to share their research with the public.
