Another option is "Dolly Dears" in Vicksburg, MS.  The contact person is 
Nancy Lee and the phone number I have is 5-6 years old:  601-638-7836.  She 
donated some work for a museum collection I was involved with several years 
ago.

Try the Ginja Jar, a doll shop in the French Quarter: 504-523-7614.
Their doll refurbisher can do re-stringing, cleaning, hair, eyes,
clothes, etc., and the prices are quite reasonable.
