The Sharlot Hall Museum currently has the following job opening:

Business Manager

The Sharlot Hall Museum seeks Business Manager to guide profit centers and
entrepreneurial activities of major regional institution.  The Sharlot Hall
Museum is partially state-funded, with significant non-profit support
revenues.  A projected growth period involving a capital campaign is to be
completed during the next five years.  The Business Manager will be pivotal
to the success of the Museum’s expansion program, through astute financial
management and forecasting.

Duties include advising the Director and Board of financial matters;
compiling, analyzing and reporting financial data; assisting the Director in
developing and justifying annual budgets and long-range plans; writing and
overseeing contracts; and developing and monitoring in-house financial
planning and reporting systems.

This position is also responsible for the daily business functions of the
Museum, including payroll preparation, accounts payable, cash management;
grant funds and designated funds management, and other miscellaneous
bookkeeping functions, and the operations of a retail store.  The Museum
also maintains a significant investment portfolio, including an endowment fund.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
experience, full-charge bookkeeping skills, knowledge of various software
programs and the ability to give persuasive written and oral presentations.
 Experience in non-profit accounting practices is essential.

Beginning salary $30,204, with full benefits package.  The Prescott
Historical Society is a State of Arizona Agency and is an equal
