Ya know, I was thinking that she needed a few good cats roaming around
the place. Dachshounds are also exceptionally good at pest control.

I heard a story a while back about one of the houses at the Museum For
Frontier Culture in Staunton, VA that was having problems with mice in
the thatched roof. The curators called their sister house in Ireland
to ask them what to do about the problem - chemicals, traps. etc.
Their reply was, "And where is your cat?" Apparently there is a fat,
happy cat on site now. :)
