Just another suggestion....the old tea dyeing trick works particularly
well on cotton shirts (our cowboy from Thundering Hooves is tea
dyed)...and you "puddle" it so that it is uneven.  Make really strong tea
and add salt to act as a mordant.  And don't rinse.
