An observation and reminder to us all: When something isn't working or when
you can't seem to get your message across, it's time to stop and
investigate. Identify the "real" problem. Ask yourself, again, what am I
trying to do, and why? Talk to the people you're trying to reach. Find out
more about them, what they do, and how they make decisions. Ask for their
help.

I'll bet you'll have more success, maybe not everytime but much more often.
And, you'll get better at planning and crafting strategies the more you
incorporate this kind of thinking into your everyday work life.
