Western Museums Association Annual Meeting
Frontier Without Limits: High Desert Rendezvous
October 11 – 15 Boise, Idaho

Dear Museum and Related Organization Professionals, Service Providers, and
Students:

Don’t miss out on registration savings! July 15 is the Early Bird
Registration deadline. Register now and spend the rest of your summer
without that annoying, unanswered “What did I forget to do?” on your mind.
(If you have already registered, thank you!)

On the verge of the Great Basin and Rocky Mountains, the Western Museums
Association will celebrate its own, modern version of the famous western
tradition of rendezvous. The "City of Trees" offers an array of museums
for visitors, the Boise River offers opportunities for biking or a casual
stroll along the Boise Greenbelt's tree-lined trails, and the metro area
features the historic Egyptian Theatre, the Basque Cultural Block, and
charming antique shops, cafés, and fine dining. Outside the city, take a
drive to the Ste. Chapelle and Koenig wineries, where tours and tastings
are offered daily, or hike the majestic and scenic foothills on one of the
numerous trails that border the city.

Also, please consider participating in our blood drive on Wednesday,
October 11 (see registration form for details).

Pre-conference workshops, panel discussions, and solo presentations by
museum colleagues and experts from the worlds of business, entertainment,
and education; unique evening events (and refreshments!); and, most
importantly, the opportunity for interaction with your peers and
experience gained from this meeting, Frontier Without Limits: High Desert
Rendezvous, will help in identifying, refining, and achieving the
professional goals of your own institution. Attend this annual meeting and
you’ll return to your museum with the confidence to juggle any hot potato.

Pre-registration is required for all events. No tickets will be sold
onsite. The deadline for registration is September 27. To register online
go to www.westmuse.org.

Preliminary programs for the conference are available as a .pdf on the
website and have been sent to members. If you did not receive one or would
like another copy please call or email me at the WMA office. One will be
sent to you via snail mail or email, whichever you prefer.
