Mark,

Zeolites are useful in reducing odor and pollutants in exhibit
casework. I would worry more about what else may be in the product and
also in how it would be used within a room. Ask the salesperson for
any technical information on the product (especially what's in it).
Often an MSDS sheet (required by law) often gives insight into the
material. This is also only a first step - as many of you who work
with conservators know - we will do outgassing testing of new
materials that are intended for exhibits and collections spaces to see
if they may present a problem. If you have a conservator or consult
with one this is something you should run by them.
