E-Commerce Content Manager
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks an E-Commerce Content Manager in the Direct Marketing department. This position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the online Met Store and the development of editorial content, including new product creation, site copy, visual merchandising, inventory, and merchandise assortment. S/he establishes production schedules and oversees all areas of the production process. The position is also responsible for assessing navigation and usability, and assisting the Manager of E-Commerce with the search engine marketing and optimization program as well as the development, testing, and implementation of new features and site enhancements.
Successful candidates will have 4-6 years' experience with website content creation and production. Must have strong writing, editorial, and proofreading skills, with an excellent command of grammar. Must also be detail-oriented, with excellent initiative, execution, and follow-through. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work both individually and as part of a team. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Web browsers and familiarity with Photoshop and HTML is required. BA degree required, Art History or English; MA preferred.
