Dear Victoria,
We were approached by an enthusiastic friend of a staff member, who is a
media graduate and working in television news, but wanted to do some pro
bono producing. We have supported her in setting up a not-for-profit
group, and helped her to obtain grants for their (low) expenses. The group
is now producing a series of films recording craft production. I wonder if
something similar would be possible in your area? Does suny np have a media
department that could help you with something similar?
I found it helful to talk with the group about similar films. With a
biulding probject, you may need to discuss the storyboard in detail in
advance.
In addition to a couple of small grants from "traditional" heritage
funders, the group has grant aid from a media funder - supporting
professional development.
Finally, could I buy a copy? When I'm not being a museums development
officer, I am writing a phd on "Dutch" buildings in colonial contexts.
With best wishes,
Pat
Pat Reynolds
